FAQ

Why do I need a sleeve on my cannula tube?

The sleeves protect your skin from rubbing which can lead to irritations, abrasions, and ulcers behind the ears. The sleeves extend from the edge of the nose, along the face, and around the ears. This keeps the tube in place, the prongs inside your nostrils and prevents rubbing.

Why does the antibacterial sleeve do?

The antibacterial protection of the fabric sleeves inhibits the formation, growth and spreading of microorganisms such as bacteria, staph, E-coli, MRSA, Salmonella, strep, Klebsiella, and pneumonia. These antibacterial sleeves protect you by inhibiting these microorganisms from coming into contact with your skin. They help protect you from infections and additional respiratory issues.

How long does the antibacterial sleeve last?

The antibacterial sleeves provide you with up to 30 days of antibacterial protection. A regular plastic oxygen cannula should be replaced every week. If not replaced, they can become hard and brittle creating an environment for biofilm to form. Biofilm can cause severe infections and respiratory issues. Our cannulas will supply comfort and antibacterial protection for 1 month with proper maintenance.
